Nam rolls into Thailand F3 semi-finals

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top tennis player Lý Hoàng Nam reached the men’s singles semi-finals of the Thailand F 三 Futures tennis tournament with quarter-final victory yesterday.

Nam, world No  五 二 九, beat Thomas Fancutt, world No  六 一 五,  六- 三,  七- 六 after one hour and  五 二 minutes.

The Tây Ninh-born player will meet  二 二-year-old Jeremy Beale of Australia, world No  七 四 二, in the semi-final.

With a semi-final win, Nam would accumulate six points in the ATP rankings and raise his hope of entering the global top  五00. — VNS
